If you're experiencing problems with attribution (session source/medium and channels) in Google Analytics 4 when using the Measurement Protocol functionality, make sure you're using the latest version of the extension. The 1.11.19 update, released on the 23rd of March, 2023, should address this problem by sending the session_id parameter alongside the event data.

You can confirm this is the case after upgrading by checking the ga4.log file in the var/log folder. You should be able to see the session_id sent for every event:

...This is because the ga_session_id parameter is missing, if ga_session_id is missing in the Measurement Protocol, it will be classified as Unassigned Channels.

Is the ga_session_id broken within Welt PIxel? Any idea how to fix

    Welkom

I'd like to second this, GA4 pro version is now a complete waste as everything is attributed to (not set).
