GA4 Magento 2 extension - FPC Varnish issue with data pushed to datalayer

Hello,

Is the extension compatible with Magento 2 Full Page Cache configured to Varnish? We installed the extension and at the pages which are not cached (for example My Account section) the cookie 'wp_ga4_user_id' is set and the value 'user_id' is pushed to datalayer fine, however, at the pages which are cached by FPC like category pages the cookie is missing so the value 'user_id' is not pushed to the datalayer.

$this->customerSession->isLoggedIn()

the above in CookieManager.php returns 'true' at pages which are not cached but returns 'false' at pages with are cached.

Can you please check the issue?

 

We use:

• Google Analytics 4 Ecommerce PRO, verion: 1.11.14
• Magento Commerce 2.4.5-p1

  This has been passed up to our dev team for investigation, however, the first step here would be to make sure you've upgraded to the latest version of the extension, which is currently 1.11.19, released on the 23rd of March , 2023.

  If the issue persists on the latest version, please open up a ticket with our Support Team and provide them the details and the replication steps + Varnish configuration.

  Yes it works properly even with Varnish,
