New and On Sale highlights on category page images

It would be great to have an option to show "New" or "On Sale" highlights/tags on product images in category pages. If the tags themselves are customizable e.g. color & style it would be ideal.

  This feature is now available as part of all Pearl Theme Packs as well as a stand alone extension.

  We have this on our roadmap for Pearl Theme but cannot provide an exact delivery date for this features.
