Do we need a whole new extension

We have the Magento 2 Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce UA GTM Tracking PRO extension with an expired support, do we need to just upgrade support to get the latest version and does that now support GA4 or do we need to start from scratch and buy a whole new extension?
