Catalog product list widget not showing correctly

Hello, 

I need to build a page with catalog of some specific categories so I came out with the idea of using the catalog product list widget as the theme is not offering any similar option. The problem is that the theme is not working as expected, quick view on product is not coming, sorting options are not coming, compare products is coming while it shouldn't. I've tried all available templates and the grid is different than normal catalog pages.

Any ideas how to manage and solve this problem would be great.
