Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce not printing tag manager in html

We just updated the plugin in its free version (we were already using it since a couple of years but not updated it recently), but unlike the previous time the tag manager script is not printed in the html.

Single website, 4 store views, all are supposed to show the same tag manager.
No errors shown whatsoever, the rest seems completely fine but nothing shown in html.

Any hint on what it could be?
