WP GTM - disable magento/module-google-tag-manager?

So we're using WP analytics/GTM.  In stores->config->sales->google api, both analytics and adwords are set to no.
But.
I've been going through newrelic and have been seeing a number of errors that appear to be coming from magento's GTM module.   Is it safe to disable that?  Is it used by WP GTM at all?

  Yes, you can disable it if you are using our extension. WeltPixel GTM is not using magento native GTM functionality. Check also the FAQ section from the bottom of the product page to make sure you get the most out of this extension.
