WP GA4 not tracking when Cookies Acceptance is On

We have the WP GA4 extension installed and we noticed much of our tracking data is lost or not received by GA4 when the Adobe Cookie Privacy banner is activated. Has anyone else run into this issue and how did you resolve it?

This image shwos how GA4 shows traffic with the cookies acceptance banner on, until this past Friday. As you can see it gets much better reporting with it off.
