Apply button on Layered Navigation

Hello,

I'm trying to put an Apply Filter button on Layered Navigation as per a client's requirement but I can't see in either fliter.phtml or state.phtml where the code is for applying filters.

Could you please advise?

  Just to clarify, I require multi-select via checkboxes and then an Apply Filter click to populate and close the LN component.
