WYSIWYG editor is not actually the strongest point of Magento 2, and often the editor may cause layout and design issues by adding unwanted spaces in the code and saving the code in a wrong format when editing already built pages or blocks.
Here is how to disable this editor and avoid future potential issues caused by it.
Go to: Admin > Configuration > General > Content Management > Enable WYSIWYG Editor and select Disabled by default as shown in below picture.
This will allow you to make the necessary adjustments to pages and blocks by editing the code, without the risk of WYSIWYG breaking your code format.
