Businesses of all sizes have to compete in their respective markets. An easy to recognize well thought out and memorable logo can be one of the most useful tools for driving in customers and creating your brand image. The logo is probably the most visible element of a business, which is why, after installing your Magento 2 software, uploading your logo should be one of the first things you do!
To achieve this, simply login to your Admin Panel and navigate to Content -> Design -> Configuration. Select the Store View you want to upload your logo for (if you have multiple Store Views. If not, you can use Global) and select Edit. Navigate into Header:
Over here, you'll be able to upload your logo using the Logo Image Upload option, and set the dimensions for it (Logo Attribute Width and Logo Attribute Height).
If you want to have a text that appears when customers hover over the Logo, add a text in Logo Image Alt.
Supported Logo file Formats: PNG/GIF/JPG(JPEG).
You can also change the Welcome Text displayed in your store's header (to give it that extra touch of brand identity), and set an Alt text for the logo image.
Once you've uploaded and set the size for your logo, Save the Configuration and flush the Magento Cache from the Cache Management section. Your shiny new logo should now be displayed on the storefront.
